A Successful Instrument Rental Night

Thank you to our wonderful music department for putting together a very well organized event. Thank you to the local companies who participated as well and helped provide our Bobcats with some beautiful instruments. The smile of the kids' faces as they walked out of the school with their new instruments was priceless. I can't wait to hear the music coming from Mr. Souza's and Mr. Tressler's classrooms.

Student Early Release and Pick Up

Our students and staff have been doing a fantastic job at dismissal. We start dismissal promptly at 2:15 PM and by 2:25 PM all 900 students are on the buses and heading home to be with their families. It takes a very coordinated effort to make sure that all our students are on the correct bus at the end of the day. This takes coordination between our school secretaries, teachers, bus drivers, and parents.

If your student will be having a dismissal during the day, it is helpful if you call or send us a note regarding the approximate time of pick up so we can expedite the process. Please allow time for the student to be called down for dismissal because we do not allow students to sit and wait for parent pick up.

We ask that students being picked up for early release are picked up no later than 2:00 PM. If you need to pick your child up after 2:00 PM, then please wait in the car line until walkers and car riders are dismiss at 2:15.

Big picture

Feed VA Day 2018

Feed VA Day 2018 was held on September 14, 2018 and it was a success at Mayfield Intermediate School. Our school's cafeteria staff helped serve over 500 free breakfasts to our students. The students were reminded over announcements throughout the week and during arrival on the day of that breakfast was free of charge for the day. Thank you to Ms. Potter and her fantastic staff for making Mayfield Intermediate School's Bobcat Cafe such a healthy, warm and welcoming place to eat and nourish ourselves for a busy day of learning.
