Important Information About Background Checks
Vienna-Finley collected background checks for next year through May 1st. The state website for these background checks is undergoing construction over the summer and is no longer accepting them at this time. They will begin the new process at the start of the school year. More information will be shared once the state makes it available. Thank you for understanding.
Common Sense Media
Over the next couple of weeks, students will be learning about different aspects of digital citizenship through lessons created by Common Sense Media. Each lesson has a “Family Tip Sheet” associated with it. While we won’t be sending each of those home, we thought this tip sheet about interacting safely online would be a good resource to have as summer approaches. With more and more students interacting in online spaces, we encourage you to start (or continue) having conversations with your children about their online behaviors. Hopefully this sheet will provide you with some good information and talking points. More of these will be made available through our website before the end of the school year. Thank you.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Students are not allowed to bring toys/items from home to play with during recess or to sell. We appreciate your help with this.
Two great things we love are Vienna-Finley and Chillers! They are teaming up on the first Wednesday of each month. Just mention Vienna-Finley when ordering (all day) and 20% of your sale will go to help our school. Thanks for helping Vienna-Finley and enjoy your Chillers!
