West Suburban Summer School: Registration Opens for Osseo: FEBRUARY 24, 2016
West Suburban Summer School is a program of Intermediate District 287's Gifted Education Services. The program serves identified Gifted and Talented in our member districts and beyond. Instructors design classes in their area of expertise to provide gifted students with unique experiences to challenge their abilities.
For information and access to the brochure watch for a postcard which will be sent home with your child from the gifted and talented coordinator in your district. The URL to access the brochure online, plus directions for registration, will be included on the postcard. Unless you are a returning registrant. If you created an account, you will not need a postcard.
West Suburban Summer School (WSSS) Registration Process Change
Registration for West Suburban Summer School (WSSS) will begin in February, 2016. There has been an important change in the registration process for 2016, based on Intermediate District 287 membership.
The Intermediate District 287 member districts include:
Brooklyn Center, Eden Prairie, Edina, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Orono, Osseo, Richfield, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park, Wayzata, and Westonka
All WSSS 2016 Participants:
The course catalog will be available for preview on February 17, 2016.
Intermediate District 287 MEMBER DISTRICT Registration:
Registration will open on FEBRUARY 24, 2016 for students who either:
a) attend a school operated by one of the Intermediate District 287 member districts
OR
b) live in one of the Intermediate District 287 member districts.
Base tuition* will be $210 per class.
Intermediate District 287 NON-MEMBER DISTRICT Registration:
Registration will open the next day on FEBRUARY 25, 2016 for students who:
a) attend a school that is not operated by one of the Intermediate District 287 member districts
AND
b) live in a district that is not a member of Intermediate District 287.
Base tuition* will be $250 per class.
*Depending on the class, additional fees may apply.
SCENARIOS:
Member designation applies for students who:a) live in a member district and attend a school operated by a member district or,
b) live in a member district and attend a school in a non-member district or,
c) live in a member district and attend a charter school or,
d) live in a member district and attend a private school or,
e) live in a non-member district and attend a school operated by a member district. (Note: Charter
schools and private schools are not operated by member districts.)
Non-Member designation applies for students who:
a) live in a non-member district and attend a non-member school or,
b) live in a non-member district and attend a charter school (regardless of where the school is
located) or,
c) live in a non-member district and attend a private school.
If changes need to be made to a student's current district of enrollment or district of residence, please contact us.
