Broken Arrow Week 6 Recap
Directors Notes
"Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work." Exodus 35:35
"If we believe that we are artists because we are created in the image of God and that God himself is an artist, then we should work to reclaim this field of study for His glory. Great artists have often inspired sincere devotion to the Lord by depicting His story. They have also expressed, through their varied media, profound truths about the nature of humanity and the divine-and about the relationship between the two. Our students can once again paint, sculpt, and design sacred works that are depictions of God's glory, offered up as pure acts of worship." Classical Christian Education Made Approachable, (44-45)
This week at home for Foundations you should be reviewing week 1-6 rammar with your children. We review six weeks back to help us keep the memory work fresh in our mind. If your child is going to try for Memory Master this is very important (more about Memory Master in the next weeks). Make sure you are reviewing geography with them and vary the show me tell me method, please see your tutor if you have questions about this method.
This week's history sentence matches up with Timeline card #112 Louisiana Purchase and Lewis and Clark Expedition.
I highly recommend you read The Core by Leigh Bortins. She has great tips on how to implement Foundations material at home!

Friendly reminders
Thank you for reminding students to stay off the stage. This is for everyone's safety. Also, the church stores things on the stage and it is best that students do not explore.

Today his adult children help run the Foundation. He and his wife have legally adopted over 12,000 children.
School Pictures
The fee is $5/student (which includes the sitting fee and full high-res download of the image)
-the $5 is due on the day I come to take pictures. (Cash or check preferred, but I can take cards for a $0.70 charge)
-if a mom forgets to bring payment that day, I can still take the picture but I can not release the digital copy until they have given me their payment.
-I will be using a service called passgallery.com to upload all of the pictures. I will send you (the director) the link to you CC campus's gallery of pictures, for you to then forward that link on to your CC mom's. From that link you will be able to download any pictures (for no extra charge).
-You can also purchase high quality photo and canvas prints directly from that site (and shipped straight to you!) I love that they offer this service!
