Winter Weather Alerts

In case of inclement weather, you should receive a phone call notifying you of any changes to the school schedule. However, you are encouraged to check the following additional sources for up-to-date alerts on school closings, delays, and early dismissals:

Wrestling Alumni Recognition Night

The second annual Wrestling Alumni Recognition Night will take place on Saturday January 7th. The team will wrestle at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. against Trenton and Ridge in a tri-meet, and the Alumni Recognition will take place at 3:30 p.m. There will be a buffet dinner after the last match for $15 per person. If you are interested in attending, please contact Coach Verga (jverga@ltps.org).

Future Cardinals Open House

On Thursday, January 19th, LHS will host a "Future Cardinals Open House" for all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and their parents. Please check out the flyer for more information and share it with anyone you know who might be interested in attending! For all club and activity advisors or sports coaches, please contact Kerry Roche to reserve a table.

After the Open House, all future Cardinals and their parents are invited to join us at 7:30 p.m. in the LHS auditorium for a presentation by our school counselors regarding graduation and college admissions requirements. They will be sharing great information - you don't want to miss it!

Holiday Door Decor

This year's Holiday Door Decorating contest did not disappoint! There were so many amazing displays of creativity and artistic seasonal spirit that it was hard to crown a winner...but we did!

1st place - Tie - Nurses' Office and Ms. Ingram's classroom (122)

2nd place - Mr. Marbach's classroom (309)

3rd place - Ms. Schneck's classroom (132)

Drama Teacher Takes the Stage

LHS Theater/Drama teacher Lorie Baldwin is performing the role of Lottie in the comedy farce ‘The Murder Room,’ by Jack Sharkey. The show is being put on by The Village Players of Hatboro (401 Jefferson Avenue, Hatboro, PA). Shows are January 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28 at 8:00 p.m. and January 15 and 22 at 2:00 p.m. See http://www.thevillageplayers.com/box-office/ for ticket info and directions.

Lady Cardinals Winter Track Shines

The girls' track team competed very well at the CVC Relays on January 4th! The distance medley relay team of Celia Marsh, Kelli Collins, Valandra Riggins, and Margaret Tran set a NEW INDOOR SCHOOL RECORD! In addition, Mijah Collier, Sataya Gordon, Breasia Solomon, and Kelsey Holt won both the 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relays. Way to go, ladies!

Twitter Trivia Contest

Follow Mrs. Schneck (@SchneckDiane) on Twitter for the 50th Anniversary Celebration Trivia Challenge! Each week a trivia question will be placed on her Twitter page. The first individual to tweet back the right answer will win a prize and points for their Red or White team.

Welcome, New Board Members!

Four new Board of Education (BOE) members were officially sworn into office at the January 4th BOE reorganization meeting. Please join us in welcoming Jonathan Dauber, Michelle King, Pepper Evans (re-elected for three-year term as VP), and Michele Bowes (re-elected to fill remaining one-year vacancy). Teen Pep Applications

Any sophomore interested in applying for the 2017-2018 Teen Pep (Teen Prevention Education Program) class can pick up an application in the Guidance Office. For more information about Teen Pep, click HERE.

Lacrosse Meeting

All players interested in joining the men's lacrosse team should attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, January 11th at 3:30 p.m. No experience is required! Please email Coach Brennan (dbrennan@ltps.org) with any questions or if you are unable to attend the meeting.

Tennis Meeting

There will be a brief meeting after school on January 5th in Room 129 for any student interested in playing boys' tennis this Spring. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Coach Krajunus (akrajunus@ltps.org) or Coach Stapleton (astapleton@ltps.org).

Diploma Cards

Seniors, Diploma Signature Forms were due back on January 2nd. Diplomas will be ordered in the next week. WE CANNOT ORDER A DIPLOMA FOR YOU IF WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR FORM. If you need another copy of the form, you can pick one up in the Main Office. Please fill the card out the way you would like your name displayed on your diploma. Middle names are not required, but your first and last name must match your official birth certificate.

Cap and Gown Measurements

Herff Jones will be here on Thursday, February 2nd and Friday, February 3rd to measure seniors for caps and gowns! The company will mail home more information regarding this process this month.
