Lots of Learning Left to Do This Year

Even with just 28 days of school remaining we have lots of learning left to do! We are reviewing our 75 sight words now that they all have been introduced. Please continue to work on sight words at home with the green flash cards that were sent home in January as well as the list shared at the beginning of the year.

In Math: we will be working on addition and subtraction during these last 6 weeks. Students are working on becoming fluent with math facts to 5 (for example: adding 2+1, 4+1, 2+3, etc)

In Reading: we will continue working on reading strategies to continue to grow as readers! Students will be working on our last unit in Fundations as well. We have been introduced to the digraphs (th, sh. ch, wh, ck).

In Science: we are learning about the farm to prepare for our upcoming field trip.

In Writing: we are learning about opinion writing and will finish the year learning about non-fiction informational writing (farm animals).
