Principal's message - week 28
Greetings North Plains Families!
This week has been pretty calm and we even got in our monthly fire drill this morning! The kids and staff here do a fabulous job with drills, taking each one very seriously. So far we have had a "lock-in" drill and of course a monthly fire drill. Still to come are "lock out" and earthquake drills.
Did your child receive a Shining Star last month? If so, (the students know because they get their picture taken), and you would like to see them be recognized at the assembly, you are welcome next Wed. morning at 7:55AM. This assembly is brief and low key, so don't feel you need to be there, but you are welcome to come.
Bingo night is Feb. 23 and volunteers are needed! Please click on the following link if you are able and willing to volunteer for this fun event. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040b4caca92aa64-bingo1
Other than that, another low key week next week! Do check the lost and found link below as many items have been added! Items that have been there the longest will be donated right before Spring Break, so please take a look!
Each week I get a calendar of events happening at Glencoe High School and thought some of you may be interested in seeing that! Thank you to Mr. Orozco for creating a google link I can update these notes into that you can access. This week it will be here in the body of the letter, and in the future it will be at the bottom with the other weekly links. Check it out! https://tinyurl.com/GlencoeWeeklyNotes
I think most new things were covered in the last news letter, so be sure to check that out if you missed it!
I look forward to seeing many of you tonight at Movie Night! Have an awesome weekend!
Becky

Did you know that you can load money onto your child's school lunch account as well as check balances and get alerts through email and/or text? If fact, you can use the site for alerts even if you choose not to add to the account online. Go to http://www.myschoolbucks.com to get connected!
Box Tops: Remember that we are still collecting box tops! There is a bin inside the main entrance, so feel free to drop them by any time! Thank you to Laura Moradi for taking the lead on box tops again this year!
