JOHN W. MOORE ROARING REMINDERS
AUGUST 26 - AUGUST 30
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL 2019-2020 IS "IN THE BOOKS"! Thank you teachers and staff for a great first week! Shout out to all the students for following our R.O.A.R. expectations and being so well behaved!
A FEW IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- We ask that your student attends school daily and arrives on time, has his/her required supplies and is focused and ready to work to his/her full potential. I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and your student to provide a productive and safe environment that supports student success.
- School hours are from 7:45am until 2:15pm each day. We encourage all students to arrive by 7:35am to ensure you are in class when school begins. Adult supervision will be provided from 7:00am until 2:40pm. Please be sure your child arrives no earlier than 7:00am and has a ride home by 2:40pm. All students should be in classrooms, ready to begin working no later than 7:45am. Any student arriving after that time will be considered tardy and must be signed in by a parent and receive a tardy pass before going to class. Please keep in mind that it takes several minutes for students to walk from the front of the building to classrooms. Students who are picked up after 2:40pm will need a parent to come to the office and sign the student out on the computer for documentation.
- In order to ensure a safe environment, visitors to the school will have to be buzzed in by the office. In some cases, identification may be requested. Each visitor will be asked to sign in on the office computer for a visitor tag. We will also be conducting Fire Drills & Lockdown Drills on a monthly basis.
- If a conference with an administrator, teacher, or counselor is needed, please call the office @ 843-664-8171 to schedule an appointment.
