Week of January 11-15
A message from the Principal
Welcome back! We hope that your winter break was a healthy time and that your family enjoyed some special time together.
The beginning of second semester, which is also the beginning of the calendar year, is a great time for students to establish personal goals. Perhaps a student's goal is to participate more regularly in live online lessons, or to improve their skills in a particular subject area. Maybe the goals is for the entire family...to get outside and take a walk together after dinner each day, or to read a book together each evening. Whatever the focus, setting goals, as well as identifying necessary steps to achieve those goals makes them more likely to occur. :)
As you know, traditional report cards were not sent home for students in grades 1 - 5. Directions for how to view them can be found here: How to view grades in IC.
TK and Kindergarten students received their ESGI report of progress via email from their teacher.
Looking ahead, beginning the week of January 25th, all students in grades K-5 will be taking the iReady assessment online. For students in grades 1-5 that completed the diagnostic test in the fall, this benchmark assessment will be used to note progress as well as areas in need of further development. Kinder students will take the initial diagnostic assessment. More information on this will be shared with you as we get closer to the start date.
As always, please know that we are here to help. Feel free to call the school, stop by the virtual help desk (details found below) or email us with questions or concerns.
