Capone's Early Years
Al Capone was born on January 17th, 1899, in Brooklyn, NY. He went to school Kindergarden- 6th grade. And then got expelled for hitting a teacher. He never went back to school.
Capone's Crimes
In the Valentine's Day Massacre six mob associates were murdered by being shot to death. When Al got arrested for tax evasion, he had to serve 11 years in prison. His mob men got sent to prison too. They got less time behind bars because Capone was the leader and avoided paying taxes.
Prison for Capone
Al Capone was sent to a state prison on October 17th, 1931 for tax evasion. He went to the US Penitentiary in Atlanta. He went to Alcatraz on January 6th, 1939 for tax evasion. While in Alcatraz, Capone was diagnosed with syphilis, a disease that would eventually kill Capone.
His final days
Al got a sickness called syphilis which he got from a prostitute. Al Capone died January 25, 1947, Palm Island, Miami Beach, FL.
