WBSD Update

A weekly update from the West Bloomfield School District

March 27, 2020 - Have a great Spring Break, Team WB!

While this isn't the Spring Break we all anticipated at the start of the school year, it is still important to take time to recharge our batteries and find activities to "sharpen the saw" by pursuing our interests.

You should be incredibly proud of everything you've accomplished in our last two weeks of Cloud Learning during these unprecedented times. It is our driving mission to do what is best for kids each and every single day.

Have a great Spring Break, Team WB! We will see you on April 6 as we continue our Cloud Learning Initiative.

#WBRelationshipsCount - #MakeItCountWB - #WBintheCloud - #ReadwithWBSD

We hold a conviction that it is our work on relationships, culture, and accountability over the course of a school year, and a school career, that allows us to be as effective as we are in a virtual environment. The students and staff know each other, and feel a sense of accountability to one another, along with a responsibility to support one another.

Without the strong relationships we have built, our online success would not be near what is has been. Visit wbsd.org/supportcloudlearning to find out how you can help.

Thank you, Team WB!

Cloud Learning Information

As we continue to support our Cloud Learning Initiative, staff members across the district took time today to come together and develop lesson plans following our return from Spring Break. We are regularly sending updates via email and social media. The website links below are also continually updated throughout the week.

West Bloomfield School District and COVID 19

Meal Service Information

The district will be offering our Meal Service program over Spring Break as well. Preorder forms will soon be available for March 30 - April 5 at www.wbsd.org/mealservice.

Starting next week and moving forward, the district will transition to Meal Service pick-ups three days per week. Families will still receive seven days worth of food per child with pick-ups on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. Pick-Ups will still take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. each pick-up day at your pick-up location (Roosevelt Elementary or OLMS).

A breakdown of what families will receive is listed below:

  • Monday - Two Days of Meals: One cooked hot lunch, one uncooked lunch (with heating instructions) and two breakfasts

  • Wednesday - Two Days of Meals: One cooked hot lunch, one uncooked lunch (with heating instructions) and two breakfasts

  • Friday - Three Days of Meals: One cooked hot lunch, two uncooked lunches (with heating instructions) and three breakfasts

This change comes in an effort to support the Governor’s Stay Home order and to limit personal contact for our families and staff. Visit www.wbsd.org/mealservice for more information on our updated plan, order forms and more. Please call our Food Service office with any questions (248) 865-6732.
