More updates as we move closer to the first day of school!

The Countdown is On!

School is coming alive again with classrooms being set up, bulletin boards decorated, and the floors waxed to a brilliant shine! A reminder that the first day of school for grades 1-8 is Wednesday September 7th. We begin with full days of school so don't forget to pack a lunch or set up that Yay Lunch account! Any questions regarding Yay Lunch please reach out to Kim Maher-

Our new K-5 STEM Teacher

When I last updated about new faculty members I mentioned that we were still looking for a K-5 STEM teacher. I am pleased to announce that Miss Abigail Miller will be joining the SKS community. She will collaborate with Miss Garrett on many engaging STEM projects throughout the year. Miss Miller will be a wonderful addition to our faculty and the students will love her energetic and engaging personality. See below for more about Miss Miller.

To the Saint Katharine of Siena Family,

Hi, my name is Abby Miller, and I would like to introduce myself as the new K-5 STEM teacher. I recently graduated from Susquehanna University in 2022 and am excited to be joining the SKS community. I am looking forward to incorporating new ideas and creative projects into my curriculum this year. My goal is to provide enriching learning opportunities for all students, while also having lots of fun along the way. I look forward to connecting with you all in the upcoming weeks. Enjoy the remainder of your summer, and I can’t wait to meet you all in September.

NEW SKS spirit wear store- Check it out!!

We are working with Silver Linings on a new spirit wear store. All orders placed by 9/30 will be delivered to school and sent home with the oldest child on 10/14. There will be a pop-up shop in the lobby during all back-to-school nights from 5:30-6:30 with product samples and ordering information. After 9/30, parents can still place orders for local pick-up or pay for shipping. Check out the store by visiting the link below.

School Supplies Drive for St. Martin de Porres School

In my last newsletter I talked about the school supplies drive for St. Martin de Porres School. Thank you for all of the donations of new school supplies we have received so far! In order to make donating a little easier an Amazon wish list has been set up. If you would still like to donate take a look at the link below. Alternatively, donations can still be dropped in the vestibule of school. Thank you for your generosity!

Stay tuned for more back-to-school updates!

I will be sending another newsletter by the end of the week with specific first week of school reminders. Be on the lookout!

This is a great time to start getting back to a bedtime and morning routine. It will help the children transition to the school routine next week.

I would like to take a moment to shout out our amazing faculty! They are working hard at school setting up classroom spaces that are inviting and ready for learning. Their hard work, collaboration, and energy is to be commended. We are blessed to have a strong faculty at SKS. We can't wait to welcome your children back to school!

God Bless You!
Mrs. Crowley
