Parent Newsletter: September 14-18
Hello Fourth Grade Parents!
Peek at the Week!
Math: We are going to continue our unit on place value, but begin solving and analyzing subtraction problems.
Language Arts: We are going to officially start Daily Five! We are finished with all of our launching lessons and I think that our students are ready to be independent learners! We built our stamina up all the way to 24 minutes!!
In writing, we will continue to focus on personal narratives and we will begin to write one of our own! I am super excited to see what stories your children have to share!
Science: We are wrapping up our unit on health and nutrition this week. I am beyond excited for students to participate in our healthy living day on September 18 to promote a nutritious lifestyle!

Reminders and Support!
Reminders:
-If your child is struggling with something on their homework, they may circle it and ask for help the next day. Homework is due every Friday.
-As the student's grades are starting to come in, please remind them that they are allowed to redo their assignments for half credit back!
-Please return the permission slips for the Back to School Dance on September 17!
-Please return the Montreat field trip permission form with the $30 for your child to go. If you need help with the funds for this, please let me know! The trip is this Thursday, September 17!
-Raleigh chaperones: If you would like to chaperone for Raleigh, you have to pay in full for yourself and your child. That amount comes to $320 and we only have 2 remaining chaperone spots for our class.
Support:
-The only support we need this week is to continue to encourage your child to come to school and try their best! Also, to really help them in becoming a leader through emphasizing those leadership habits whenever possible.
Thank you for all that you do!
Communication is Everything!
