Principals Corner
From Mr. Brian Wood and Mr. Gunnar Baker (6th Grader). 9/15/22
Welcome to our first Chelan Middle School newsletter! I am so proud of our 6th grade leadership students for all of the time and effort they have put into developing and producing the content of today’s newsletter. As we are moving into the later part of September, I wanted to place a couple of items at the forefront. The first being that students are using their advisory time on Fridays as a day to communicate with their families. Every Friday, students should be emailing their families with grade updates as well as highlights and areas of focus from their last week. Student Led Conferences are also just around the corner and will be occurring during the week of October 10th - 14th. Please be looking for conference sign-ups coming home with students the first week of October.

School Issues
By: Charlotte Ensminger (6th Grader)
Hello families,
Here are current school issues CMS students and staff are talking about.
Lunch: The first issue is the lunch room. We ask kids to quietly sit down and eat their lunch. They have 30 min to relax and chat with their friends. Kids can also go to the library to sit and read.
PE: We also advise kids to bring clothes and tennis shoes that they can exercise in for the days they have PE.
Health: It is common for kids to get colds right now because of the weather. We ask you to make sure your kids are getting enough sleep and washing their hands often, and eating healthy meals.
