We've Launched our Expedition!
We set off on our expedition to explore the American Revolution! Kids will be working hard to solve our problem, "The American Revolution was a pivotal and essential part of American history that still impacts us today. However, when learning about the founding of our country, many people become disinterested because history is often taught in ways that are not interesting or fun. This leaves many citizens without an understanding of the events and ideals that founded our nation. How can we bring to life the story of the founding of America so that others remember?"
There are some awesome resources available to help you or your child build knowledge about the American Revolution. We will use The Revolution documentary series from the history channel in class and highly recommend you check it out if you're interested. You can also check out Liberty's Kids, a cartoon that tells the story of the American Revolution. We will be visiting the new Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, but their website also has lots of information to browse too!
We will be sharing our learning at Showcase on May 20th and look forward to seeing you there!
