Every Student. Every Day. Whatever It Takes.

I cannot believe August is here! Although there is a quietness to the campus when everyone is gone, it doesn't take long to begin missing the energy that is experienced when the entire community is at the Nest. The theme for this school year is Collaboration, Care, Community, and Courage. My goal is to see more students studying together and working with our tutors in the resource center- more students showing school spirit by cheering on our athletes, supporting ASB activities, and participating in mass- more displays of brotherhood which includes students encouraging each other and holding each other to high standards- and students displaying more courage in the face of opposition by pushing past fears and being open to new challenges.

I cannot wait to see you all! Do something exciting during the last few days of summer.

Assemblies- Community

Please watch the video above around the daily assemblies that Urban Prep in Chicago, Illinois has made apart of their school tradition. Wouldn't it be great if we could carve some time to pray together, recognize student achievement, and remind you about the Grad at Grad? STAY TUNED.

Grad at Grad

The Grad at Grad is a list of six characteristics that all Jesuit, Cristo Rey schools hope their graduates will embody. For Verbum Dei, this list represents the overall goals of our academic, athletic, and spiritual programs.
