Holly Springs Elementary
PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
January 2021
Happy NEW YEAR!
As we begin the second semester of the 2020-2021, I want to express my deep appreciation for the diligence of staff members and the compliance of our students. By doing so, we have been successful in managing COVID-19. The assistance and valiant efforts of our school nurse, office staff, and central office personnel have been phenomenal, which has allowed our school to stay open with minimal disruption.
Additionally, I want to thank our custodians who have worked tirelessly to clean and sanitize our building. Although digital Fridays add some frustration for teachers, students, and parents; it is essential in maintaining our safety and well-being.
Finally, I appreciate your continued partnership and patience as we move into our final stretch of the year. Our data is indicating we are progressing towards our goals in every grade level. This is due to the diligent work of the entire Holly family. I encourage you to continue to reach out to our staff if you need assistance on Fridays, as well as check to be sure your child has completed their assignments. As a building, we have tried to really focus on only essential skills and small groups on Friday's in order to lessen the burden for those at home. As a whole, student's who are consistently turning in their Friday work are showing higher grades and assessment scores! Thank you to those who are working hard everyday to ensure each assignment and activity is completed!
Sincerely,
Principal Trexler
