Word for the Warrior
Hello Warriors,
This video below SCREAMS our work at Sevier! The work we do is full of purpose and passion! However, sometimes we don’t always see immediate results. This video is a powerful reminder that our work takes time, but oh will it bear fruit! We need to walk the walk, using a growth mindset and understand that persevering and working hard to the end will result in a great reward…changed lives…and a world impacted for the better….because of the work we do day in and day out.
We matter!
We are difference makers!
We dream big!

Recovery
This provides the child a break from the classroom without removing the work expectation and it also allows the child to determine when they are ready to re-enter.
That being said...there are times that a child may be so disruptive that they need to be removed to ISS. You will know when this is the case.
Recovery simply provides another avenue before ISS and also continues to provide a similar environment for work.

Professional Learning Log
Professional Learning
I hope your first week with students was smooth and relatively uneventful!
I wanted to share the 2018-19 Non-Teaching Staff Learning Opportunities. There are scheduled dates for school office staff and ASC staff to engage in Communities of Practice that will be focused on Powerschool learning and Productivity. You can access the scheduled dates and registration sheets from the attached pdf document, on the KCS Professional Learning Calendar, and on the KCS Professional Learning page.
This week is the first designated 2018-19 School-based Cross Training Week. Suggested topics for cross training this week are Powerschool, Emergency Response Procedures, enrolling/withdrawing students procedures, and office schedules and procedures.
I do want to call special attention to a new Personalized Productivity Learning with Google Request Form we will be utilizing this year. I have copied administrators and district supervisors/directors/coordinators so they will also be aware and able to make requests for different groups to receive personalized learning attention to whatever the needs regarding more productivity with Google Suite. Please pass information along as appropriate for various departments.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Thank you,
Stephanie L. Potter, Ed.D.
