#Together! 2020-2021
Greetings Bobcat Families!
We have been very busy getting our Phase 3 plans up and going. Our little kiddos in elementary need a little more attention when it comes to revisiting our protocols and ensuring safety for all.
Our second 9-weeks grading period is officially underway, and we have welcomed some more students to our campuses. As we begin Phase 3 of our phase-in plan. About 44% of our student enrollment is In-Person as of October 19. Our administration and office staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure classes are balanced to the greatest extent.
The challenge before us has been considerable. None of us have experienced school in the way we have. We have zero COVID-19 cases and continue to utilize the districts protocol for health and safety. Our early childhood students our consistently wearing their mask thanks to the positive direction from our classroom teachers and social skills. We have transitioned our students to eating in the cafeteria utilizing same group, assigned seats, staggering grades phase to allow for proper disinfection in between lunches. Spirit Week allowed for social emotional connection. Students celebrated their 1st nine weeks achievements during our virtual POPS rally. We are committed to our staff, students and families in providing the high-quality instruction and learning experiences that our students and families expect. Lastly, parents were able to hear about their child's academic progress last week during parent conferences.
As parents, you can help us by encouraging and reinforcing that it's important for students to maintain their distance from others while navigating hallways, wear their mask, wash their hands, disinfect all backpack, lunch boxes and materials coming to and from school daily. And follow other new health protocols.
Thank you!
Lisa Harris, M.Ed

Parent/Student Tech Support
Contact your child's teacher for more information or questions. Teachers will set aside "Parent Contact" time to assist. We will still have access to Google classroom within Canvas. Canvas is designed to organize students’ classes and resources in one easy to access location and help communication between parents/guardians and teachers. As a parent or guardian, Canvas will allow you to observe your child's classwork, assignments, and grades.
Parents and students should have received these Instructions for Parents and these Instructions for Students to guide them how to access the Canvas training courses. Parents will need to be an observer to log in and get access to the training course. You can use these instructions (English), Instructions (Spanish), or this video to set up a Canvas account to observe their students. You can use the Instructions for Students with your students so that they can locate and log in to Canvas. Remember you need to publish your courses so students can see them.
Referrals are accepted year round. However, screening is once per year beginning in December and concluding in February. Click above link for more details.
