CITIZENS ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDATION
ON THE SIZE OF PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY COUNCIL
HAVE YOUR SAY ON WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!
The Prince Edward County Citizens’ Assembly, has recommended that the appropriate size of council be reduced from the existing configuration of fifteen councillors plus a mayor, to ten councillors plus a mayor, and will be presenting this recommendation to a Special Committee of the Whole meeting, taking place at Shire Hall, Thursday September 19th. 9:30 am.
Whatever your thoughts or opinions on this recommendation, if you feel strongly one way or the other, this is your opportunity to have your say on what Council do next.
Making a deputation to Council at this special meeting is the best way to share your feelings about this issue with your elected members of Council.
Deputations at Committee of the Whole:
Anyone can speak on any item on the agenda without registering in advance. Prior to the meeting you will be asked to provide: a written copy or summary of your remarks, a copy of any supporting material, PowerPoint or electronic presentation you may be using.
All deputations at Committee of the Whole meetings have 10 minutes to speak.
Registered deputations are listed on the agenda. To register a deputation in advance, you must contact the County Clerks office at clerks@pecounty.on.ca, by Phone at 613-476-2148 x226 or by Fax 613-476-5727 at least four full working days prior to the meeting (In this case, by Thurs. September 12th. prior to the Thurs. September 19th. Committee of the Whole meeting)
