I cannot believe we have reached the final month of school. I just want to take a minute to thank you for being so active in your child's education and experience at Gideon. Parenting is hard work, and we appreciate you for every bit of effort you have put forth this year. Finally, thank you for sharing your babies with me. They enrich my life so much. I have had a great two years at Gideon and look forward to so many more. Be sure to remain active on our Face Book and Twitter pages this summer to stay current on summer and beginning of the year events. Remind your kiddos that our work here is not done and the school year is not over; let's finish strong and rock our end of year exams!

Gideon Fundraiser, May 2nd- May 31st

Show your Gator spirit by purchasing a ceiling tile. You can decorate your tile with your family name, favorite sports, favorite hobby, kids name and year at Gideon, inspirational quotes, or even abstract art. Their tiles will go up in our hallways throughout the building. My goal is to fill our halls with color, life, and student art. It will probably take us about two years to fill up, but it will look cool once it’s done. If you are still in contact with past students or teachers, ask them to purchase a tile and send it back to Gideon, so we can honor their time as a Gator as well. I think this will be a hit, but we need your help. So please promote it to your families, neighbors, and local businesses. You can visit the front office to see an example, or google ceiling tile art in schools. Thanks for your help!

We are so sad to announce that Ms. Grace, from 3rd grade, has made the decision to retire from education. On May 27th: Gideon will celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of Ms. Grace and her dedication to Gideon Elementary and Mansfield ISD. We are sad to see her go, but look forward to the exciting chapter that is come. Feel free to send a card or a token of your appreciation on that day.

Standing Ovation for Mrs. Elizabeth Hostin!

After over 28 years in education, Mrs. Hostin has finished the last chapter of her book in Mansfield ISD. Did you know that she was the 1st principal at Imogene Gideon? Not only did she open our school, but she chose our colors, and got that beautiful mural painted in the library. She later opened Martha Reid Elementary, and then was the principal at Jobe Middle School. We salute Mrs. Hostin for all of her dedication to the students and families of Mansfield ISD. She will be greatly missed.

Round of Applause for Mr. Sneed!

Gators are sad to say goodbye to our amazing Associate Superintendent of Curriculumn, Instruction, & Accountability. After many decades serving in education, Mr. Sneed has decided to retire. Gideon Gators appreciate his many years of service to our community and his commitment to increasing achievement and equal opportunities for all students!

Proud to Be a Part of the Pack!

Did you know...

  • Timberview is where our Gideon Gators will go for high school
  • Timberview is the only MISD Texas A & M Century School
  • MISD received about $35.5 million in scholarships last year, and Timberview HS received $20.5 million of that money

The future looks bright for destined Timberview Wolves, and #gideongators are excited!

We need your help!

We have accidents daily ( like spills, puddles, etc.) and cannot always give the kids a change of clothes. We'd like to change that so we can limit the number of parent phone calls to pick up their babies. If you have any gently used shorts, pants, and tee shirts you can part with, we'd love to have them. All sizes needed. Thank you for your help!
