EPSD9 Student Artwork Makes Debut at Downtown Eagle Point Coffee House
Eagle Point Middle Schools Art 2 class recently received a unique opportunity to showcase their student artwork. That opportunity came from a new business in Eagle Point called Main Street Coffee House.
A new feature at Main Street Coffee House is the wall display of student art. This artwork comes from students across the Eagle Point School District. When we asked Main Street Coffee House what started this idea, they said:
"We had a blank canvas of our own here at Main Street Coffee House, and what better way to fill it than to highlight local artists."
EPSD9 recently interviewed several of those students to find out why they are interested in art and what they hope to get out of the class. This is what they had to say:
“I really like to express myself. I enjoy perfecting my skills and producing better artwork for people to enjoy.”
“I like drawing and I used to not be good at this and I wanted to get better with my art.”
“My sister was into art and she is now a tattoo artist. I learned some from her and I got into art last year and liked it, so I took it again this year.”
“Art is a great class and you learn a lot about your skills and yourself.”
The artwork currently on display at Main Street Coffee House comes from EPMS students, and the medium of this work is oil pastels.
When we asked these same students how it felt to be publicly featured, they said:
"I still can’t believe my work is out there for everyone to see. It doesn't feel real."
"I felt excited that my art was going to be publicized. It’s a great feeling."
“I thought it was so cool that people think my art is high school work. Im only in middle school, so that’s pretty cool.”
This artwork will be on display for a set period of time and changed periodically with artwork from other EPSD9 Schools.
Congratulations to all of the students who put their work out there, we are proud of you!

The District is sincerely grateful and extends its thanks to the church and congregation.
How Can I Support?
We are excited about the opportunities this new facility will bring to our Agricultural Sciences program, High School, and community. We are currently accepting monetary donations as well as in-kind donations towards the construction of the building and classrooms
