The Day of the Color Run...
12:50 - 1:35 pm for Grades 3, 4, 5, & 6
2:00 - 2:45 pm for Grade AIM, K, 1, & 2
When students finish their colorful run, they will gather in the gym by classrooms to enjoy a school movie and keep the color contained to a smaller area of the building.
Permission slip: There is a permission slip that needs to be completed for ALL students to participate in the color portion of the run. ALL students will run regardless of donation. There will be an alternate shorter track available for any students who do not want to have color on them. Students without a permission slip will be able to also run on this track without a permission slip. If you make a donation to the Color Run you still need to complete a permission slip to participate.
What to Bring the Day of the Run:
- An extra white/light colored shirt (cotton works best). A what or lighter colored shirt helps the color stand out. Students can change into this shirt to run, then back into their clean shirt after. Or a change of clean shirt, shorts, and shoes to change into when done running.
- towel to wipe off color after funning. The powder will brush off and wipe off after running
- bag to put colored shirt/clothes/shoes and towel in after the run
After the Run: To contain the color, students will be treated to a movie in the gym after their run session. Per the company web page, the color should come out when clothes are washed. They recommend a bath/shower that day to rinse the color out of hair and off body when arriving home. Using Dawn dish soap has the best results, even adding a small amount with your normal soap or shampoo.
