Here's what's happening at school this week.
NWEA Testing
Sixth Grade Dance
Art Show
Reading
Students need to come to class on Monday with their book club books finished or it will begin to affect their grades. I will take 5 points per day starting Monday if the book isn't finished. We have been reading these books for 3 weeks and students have been able to read in school and take the books home to read. Please ask your child if he/she has finished their book or not. No Vocabulary/Word study due to NWEA testing this week.
Writing
Math
During the week of May 8th – 12th, students worked on finding the perimeter and area of triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids. They also learned about measures of central tendency. Students have one handout due on Monday: The triangle handout “CandY”.
During the week of May 15th – 18th students will be taking the NWEA online assessment for math. They will also continue working on Geometry concepts (Volume).
Social Studies
Science
Students are finishing up a wave poster. Posters will be due by Wednesday of this week. We will finish up our wave unit this week. Operation Egg Drop is coming.....
