Highlights
How Full is Your Bucket?
Students in Grades K-3 learned what it means to be a bucket filler. We all have an invisible bucket above our heads that holds our positive thoughts about ourselves. A full bucket indicates that we are feeling happy and supported. An empty bucket on the other hand, indicates that we are experiencing negative emotions. We can fill the buckets of others by practicing acts of kindness. We can fill our own buckets by doing things to fill the bucket's of others! Check out the full buckets adorning the hallways during parent teacher conferences :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SMART Goals are a way to ensure that our goals are:
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Relevant
Timely
It is important for students to set realistic goals for themselves for learning new things. When students are involved in creating their own individual goals, they can feel a sense of ownership. A sense of ownership often gives the student motivation to achieve the goal they have set for themselves.
LUNCH BUNCHES!
During the month of October, I will be starting Lunch Bunch groups. Lunch Bunch is a time where a small group of students and I will work together on specific topics to enhance their social and emotional learning in a fun way! I am very excited to be starting these groups and look forward to spending more time with students.
