The Eagle's Nest
Week of April 11, 2022
Purple Star Award
Happy Sunday Families!
Last week was busy for our Eagles! We celebrated Month of the Military Child with Spirit Week. Students dressed up in stars and stripes; red, white, and blue; camo; superhero costumes; and purpled up on Friday! As part of students' study of Native Americans in CKLA, the Onslow Veterans Pow Wow came to share their Native American culture including regalia, dance, and language. Our students also enjoyed PBIS celebrations this week. K-3 students participated in Spring-A-Palooza with an egg hunt, and Grades 4-5 students walked to McDonalds, Bojangles, and Subway to enjoy lunch. We were honored to have Onslow County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Barry Collins, on campus to speak with our Eagles of the Month on the character trait of citizenship. Students in the YMCA traveled to Raleigh to the Little Theater and the Zing Zumm Children's Museum this week. We also celebrated Mrs. Joy for Media Specialist Day and Mrs. Robinson for Assistant Principal Appreciation Week.
