Odds and Ends
Accelerated Math
- At this point I expect students to master 5 objectives each week.
- AM will not be counted for a grade for the time being, but I expect this to change in a couple of weeks.
- Students who are doing AM online need to consistently have a tablet/device at school and need consistent internet access at home. I am concerned that lack of these may cause students to have difficulty in completing their weekly objectives. I can always switch a student back to the traditional paper/pencil version if necessary.
Haw River Field Trip
- The first payment date is 9/15, the second is 10/1. If possible, please pay by 9/15. Thank you!
- We will notify chaperones that they have been selected to go by 9/19.
- Students will not be allowed to bring medications/medicines of any kind on the trip without a physician's order. This, along with the medication, is due by 10/6.
USA Studies Weekly
Beginning next week, a USA Studies Weekly that is turned in late will have 10 points taken off of the grade. Any USA Studies Weekly that is not turned in at all will be given a 0%. But, students may turn these in at any point before the end of the quarter to earn credit (minus ten points for being late). I will remind students who have missing assignments in time to make them up before the end of the quarter.
