Coyote Counselors

During Open House our counselors will hold parent meetings to discuss 2022-2023 Course Selections for our CURRENT 6th and 7th graders. You will receive information regarding your student's 7th and 8th grade course options. Please see the flyer above for details. We hope to see you there!

Please be sure to stop by our Showcase in the Big Gym to meet with elective teachers and learn more about their programs.

On November 11th, our 7th grade students will be visiting Hollenstein Career & Technology Center.

7th Grade Thursday, November 11th

HCTC is an EMS-ISD CTE center that serves students from all of our high school campuses.

They provide programs in multiple occupational fields preparing students with hands on experience, certifications, and college credit course work.

**If you do not want your student to participate, please email your grade level counselor 7th grade zfoggle@ems-isd.net and we will coordinate with teachers to provide alternative instruction.

*If your student attends classes (Golf, Gymnastics, etc.) at the high school they will not attend those classes on Thursday due to the field trip and must ride the bus or be dropped off at Prairie Vista Middle School no later than 8:15 am.

Next week PVMS students and staff will recognize Red Ribbon Week to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our schools and communities drug-free. The national theme this year is "DRUG FREE LOOKS LIKE ME". We will provide facts about drug abuse during announcements, drug awareness activities during Advisory, and a school-wide assembly on Friday with a guest speaker.

We encourage students to show their support of our drug-free initiative by participating in the Red Ribbon Week Dress up Days shown below.

Coyote Parents/Guardians:

Join us for our first Coffee with Counselors for the 2021-22 school year. Parents are invited to come out and ‘meet and greet’ our Prairie Vista Middle School Counselors. We would like to meet parents, provide community resources, and answer questions about our counseling program.
