Walker Dismissal Change....Effective January 8th.
Beginning on January 8, 2018 Katy ISD and Bethke Elementary will begin a new Kinder/1st grade walker dismissal process. Each Kinder and/or 1st grade student will receive two numbered tags. These students will not be dismissed without a parent/guardian present who has the appropriate corresponding second tag. If no one is available with the appropriate tag, then the student will return to the front office to have the information verified before being checked out. If you choose to have your younger child walk with an older sibling/relative that attends Bethke in grades 2-5, you must complete an authorization form which was sent out on 12-14-17 and can be found at the front office.
New Tardy Procedure Beginning in January!
Remember that students must be in the building by 8:20 to avoid being tardy.
Beginning on January 3rd, students who earn more than 5 tardies will be asked to arrive at school early for a morning detention. Parents will be notified in writing if their student is approaching this consequence.
Also, our doors automatically lock at 8:20, so you must walk your student in if they are arriving after that time.
We appreciate your help in getting our students to school on time.
