In-Person Learning

starts September 21, 2020

Dear HSA-Cypress Families,

When the COVID-19 virus was first identified in our state last spring, we promised our Harmony community that our response to the pandemic would be focused on keeping our entire community safe and our students focused on learning.

Our team is taking the following steps in order to safely reopen the school for both staff and students.

Tuesday, 9/8/20 through Friday, 9/11/20

· All students are learning remotely.

· Only essential staff reports to the campus daily.

· All meals are delivered curbside on Monday mornings only.

Monday, 9/14/20 through Friday, 9/18/20

· All students are learning remotely.

· All staff reports to the campus daily.

· All meals are delivered curbside on Monday mornings only.

· Final preparation for safe and secure school reopening for “in-person” virtual learning.

Begins Monday, 9/21/20

· “In-person” learning begins for students who chose this option on the “Return to School” survey.

· All other students (including newly enrolled students) are learning remotely.

· Teachers give virtual instruction from the classroom with a small group of assigned students.

· All students learning “in-person” must wear a mask at all times.

· All students learning “in-person” must bring a Chromebook or laptop with headphones.

· All students learning “in-person” will be served breakfast and lunch in their assigned classroom.

· Meals will be delivered curbside on Monday mornings only for students that continue learning remotely.

Once again, our staff thanks you for your support during these unprecedented times and for helping keep our students safe and focused on learning.

We will continue to keep you updated as new developments take place.

If you have any further questions, please call the front office between the hours of 8 am – 3 pm.

Sincerely,

Evangelena Taylor
