MSHS represents at All State Show Choir

Show choir members Garyson Campbell and Jacqueline Goodwin are in Montgomery now participating in the Alabama All State Show Choir. It is limited to only 25 girls and 25 boys, so we are excited to have two of those spots for our students.

Maggie Tubbs in Top 8 at DYW

This past weekend, senior Maggie Tubbs represented Colbert County and Muscle Shoals High School in the annual Distinguished Young Women of Alabama program in Montgomery. She finished in the Top 8 along with young women from Walker County, Mobile County, Chilton County, Montgomery County, Limestone County, Etowah County, and Jefferson County. We are so proud of Maggie and all that she has accomplished.

Her mom said it best in a Facebook post: "But the one thing that made my momma heart burst wide open was how after it was over she made a point to go tell the little lady who had helped her get in and out of her dress thank you. She found the alumni volunteer who had encouraged her all week and told her what a blessing she had been to her. She made sure to tell the director/choreographer how much she enjoyed getting to work with her! She found the winner and told her how happy and excited she was for her! With little tears in her eyes, sincerely thanking them. She wouldn’t get in the car until she found them. Not because someone told her to or because other people were doing it, but because she’s just a jewel and that’s just who she is!" - Molly Tubbs (and you are so right, Molly!)

Jackson Bratton won the 6A Lineman of the Year Award on January 15 at the state's coveted Mr. Football Awards Banquet

God Bless America

MSHS custodian Rickie Cole sang the national anthem on Friday night as the Trojans prepared to play Athens in an area matchup. The following night, senior Lyric Malone brought the house down before the Trojans took on Florence. We have enjoyed several outstanding performances this year as students and staff members alike have used their talents to honor America!

Congratulations, Coach Barker

We congratulate our head boys basketball coach, Neal Barker. On Tuesday night, the boys' win over Columbia was his 200th overall win as a head coach. That is a huge accomplishment. Also, we hear he is approaching 100 wins as head coach of the Muscle Shoals Trojans, so we look forward to celebrating that accomplishment with Coach Barker.
