Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been wonderful to see all of the children back in school smiling and learning this week. We have heard many holiday stories which have been very exciting!
We started school on Tuesday with our wonderful Reception class taking delivery of a number of eggs and an incubator and even before the end of the day one of the eggs had hatched. The children lovingly called the first chick Pikachu. Many of the children had a chance to try out a cheerleading class and all the children who tried had a great time.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I had the pleasure of working with Year 4 in the mornings. They really are an excellent class who are motivated to learn and ready to take risks in their learning. We have been using the story 'The Mousehole Cat' as a catalyst for learning and the children have really enjoyed studying the first part of the story.
After school o Thursday our football team played against St. Marys and emerged victorious. The final score was 8-4 to Balladen. The boys are incredibly skillful and some of the football they played was stunning. Well done to them and a huge thank you to Mr Stanton for all of the time he spends training and coaching throughout the week.
Finally a huge 'Well done' to Alfie Fellows for the action he has taken with his Grandad in cleaning up a path near Tescos. We were all very proud to see him in our local paper.
Have a wonderful weekend. I look forward to seeing all of those Monday smiles!
With respect,
Mr Neil Ringrose
Well done Alfie!
