March Challenges and Focuses
Twitter Challenge: This month our Twitter hashtag is #scottiesPLAID. We will be refocusing on our PLAID values and want to highlight exemplifying ways we demonstrate them day to day.
March Focus: We have focused a lot this year on Failing Forward, but what does that really mean? As we get to this time of school year, many of us begin thinking about upcoming state testing, reflecting on the year, and even planning for the next year.
What I want us all to do, is take time to recognize the growth we have all made this school year and take a moment to hone in on the goals we have yet to achieve. It is time to push ourselves to FAIL FORWARD. I read recently that FAIL is just a term for "First Attempt At Learning," END means "Effort Never Dies," and NO just signifies our "Next Opportunity." We all have room to grow, and even more, we all have room to fail. Encourage students and each other to push to new levels and make those first attempts at learning.
Please take a few minutes to watch the videos below. I encourage you to speak with your kids about what obstacles they plan to face and goals they are working towards next.
