Upcoming Dates
Be proud CAS!!
CAS remains committed to service learning, supporting local charitable initiatives, and programs focused on maintaining and expanding the inclusive climate of our school.
This month alone, Central Avenue School has participated in these valuable programs:
Support of Cub Scout Pack 124 - CAS students supported Pack 124 in their drive to collect men's hygiene items for the Market Street Mission.
Change for Change - Spearheaded by the CAS Student Council, CAS students have been collecting spare change to support the Madison Eagle Christmas Fund. The initiative raised $594!
Look for the Good - On Friday 12/23/2022, our 10-day Look for the Good Gratitude will wrap up. Our CAS Peer Leaders did a great job running the campaign this year, our 4th year participating in the program. CAS was the first elementary school in NJ to participate!
No Place for Hate - Not only was CAS named a ‘No Place for Hate’ School, but our students will also participate in the new New York/New Jersey No Place for Hate Ambassador Program! The Ambassador Program will connect CAS with other schools in our region for even stronger implementation of the ‘No Place for Hate’ message!

Lunch Volunteers Needed for Winter!
Thank you to all who have volunteered for lunch this Fall! Volunteering during lunch is a great way to see your children in their school day habitat! Parent volunteers assist in opening up lunch items, keeping the lunch lines moving, and ensuring the students clean up after themselves. Lunch begins at 11:15am and ends at 12:45pm. Just a few slots left for winter signup.

COURTYARD READING GARDEN
Did you know that CAS has a courtyard? Unfortunately, during the COVID shutdown, our beautiful courtyard reading garden fell into disrepair. This year, the PTO will be working with the building to revitalize and rebuild this outdoor learning space for our children to enjoy. Our landscaping quotes are rolling in as we speak and soon we will be able to announce the grand plan and fundraising goals!
