Weekly AESD Update
100 Days Of School In The Books
Our kids are 100 days smarter! Students and staff across the district celebrated the 100th day of school by wearing costumes, making posters, playing games and so much more! We are so excited to celebrate this milestone with our students and look forward to all they will continue to achieve this year.
Up, Up and Away with Balloon Day!
This week, we celebrated six National Board Certified Teachers across our district! The work you all do on a daily basis to advance student learning is beyond measure. We are so grateful for you all!

Literacy Opens Doors, Go There And Explore
Parents work together with teachers at the Literacy Hub at Lattie Coor. Parents learn alongside their children as they receive tutoring. The Literacy Hub provides a great opportunity to collaborate with our students and their families to help them succeed in school. A huge thank you to Valley of the Sun for providing the grant that brought the hub to life.
All That And A Bag Of Chips
Students at Eliseo C. Felix School participate in a group discussion by using chips. The purpose of the activity is to make sure every student has a voice and an opportunity to speak and participate in the discussion. We value the voices of our students and encourage their active involvement in their education.
The Importance Of Nurturing Literacy
In this week's episode we discuss the impact of Read On Arizona and the effects of chronic absenteeism. Tune in to hear more about how communities can help ensure that students grow and learn with the right support.
