Lily became good friends with a boy named Zachary who helped out August with the bees. After Zachary got arrested, Zachary's mother called May. May stressed out about it and killed herself. A couple weeks later Lily's dad comes to Tiburon to get her. August convinced her dad that it was a good idea for Lily to stay with her.
