Beginning of the Year Assessment Requirements
Kindergarten - Letter ID (upper and lower), Concepts About Print, iReady (ELA/Math)
First Grade - DRA, iReady (ELA/Math)
Second Grade - DRA, iReady (ELA/Math)
Third - Fifth Grade - iReady (ELA/Math)
**Letter ID, CAP, and DRA must be completed by end of September and must be entered in Infinite Campus by the first week of October.
***Guided reading groups should be set up and begin within the first three weeks (after the Launching section in the pacing guide).
JCPS On-going Running Records for K-5
All students in grades K-1 should have at least 4 running records per quarter.
All students in grades 2-5 should have at least 3 running records per quarter.
If a student is reading below grade level in grades 2-5, he/she should have at least 4 running records per quarter.
All K-5 students should have observation/anecdotal notes.

1. Grades/scores need to be entered into Infinite Campus by Tuesday of each week.
2. Professional Growth Plans will be due September 15. More information to come.
3. Kelly Services number is 1-866-535-5998. Calls need to be made before 6:15 AM. Send Scott a text 9573-619-2852) if you are getting a sub along with the confirmation number.
Required Staff Training Videos - Due September 15
Staff members are required to annually watch training videos. All training videos must be watched and completion forms submitted by September 15, 2017. You should have an email from Michael Grissom with your login and password information.
These training videos are required by state law and/or district policy, and you must annually provide confirmation that you have completed each of the training modules.
Staff members in certified positions are required to watch eight (8) videos:
- Confidentiality of Student Information
- Addressing School Bullying
- Dealing with Acts of School Violence: Controlling Physical Aggression in Students
- Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation
- Requirements for Mandated Reporting of Sexual Abuse in Children
- Standard Precautions for Avoiding Infections
- Student Discipline
- Student Discipline and the Office for Civil Rights
Staff members in non-certified positions are required to watch six (6) videos:
- Confidentiality of Student Information
