COUNSELOR'S CORNER

Career Day

Career Day is coming up! Friday, March 6th students K-2nd will be participating in a Career Day in the morning. We are excited to do this for the 2nd year at CES. We are still looking for additional volunteers to come and share their exciting careers with students. We would love to have a variety of careers to help students look at the many paths possible! Please return the form sent home recently, or contact Mrs. Phelps at 517-592-6632 or email ashley.phelps@myeagles.org.

Parents/Guardians, other family members or community members are all welcome to volunteer as a presenter. A background check will be required for everyone. Thank you for considering joining us for this fun filled experience!

Big picture
Mrs. Phelps taught an important lesson on REFRAMING. These students are leaders who can teach the rest of us how to reframe a worry or negative thought. For example, the thought "I am going to fail my test" can be reframed as "I studied a lot and I will do my best!"

Military Care Packages from K-KIDS

The CES K-Kids are collecting items in February to send in Military Care Packages. The suggested items are listed below. The K Kids will be making cards to put in each package. We thank our CES families for supporting their efforts. They are excited to spread love and kindness in this way!

Food items - candy, snacks, drink mixes

Personal care - toothbrush/paste, shaving cream, soap, hair supplies, clothing

Entertainment items - puzzle books, magazines, books, etc.

Communication items - note cards/envelopes, stamps, Apple iCards, other gift cards to let them call home
