PADUA Value: Personal Best

Inspiring children to be intrinsically motivated is one of the things we always want to do for them. We want them to want to succeed not because someone else is doing something better or differently than they do, but rather because they recognise what they do well and constantly strive to want to do it a little better. Children's strengths gradually emerge, and at that point, as educators and parents, we can really motivate them to achieve what we see as their personal best. Personal best evolves over time since achievement, progress, and education are not static. At St Anthony’s we know that children learn and develop along a continuum and that they need our help during their development.

Kindy News

Welcome to Term 4 in Kindy! On Wednesday, we had a wonderful start to the term. The children and staff had a lovely time sharing stories of how they spent their time over the holidays. The children painted pictures and teachers scribed what they did. We also began our ‘Space’ theme and look forward to learning lots of interesting facts over the coming weeks. The children had so much fun in our new space home corners. Sports with Mrs Francis and Library with Mrs Moynihan were a great way to finish our first day back. We look forward to a busy term ahead, with an excursion to Yanchep National Park and preparing for our Christmas Concert later in the term.

Kindy Holiday Retells

On the holidays I went camping in a green tent at Margaret River. I had smores, they were good! I went with my whole entire family, even Oma!

Ewyn

On the holidays I roasted marshmallows and caught fishies with my mummy, my daddy and my brother. My doggy didn’t go in the pool. I went in the pool – it wasn’t so cold, I didn’t even shiver!

Xander

On the holidays I went to Jurassic World with my mummy. I saw lego dinosuars. My favourite one was a T-Rex – they are just Lego!

Harper

On the holidays I went to see my cousins at a holiday house. We had dinner there because it was my uncle’s birthday. Uncle had a cake – one side was caramel, and one side was white chocolate!

Hannah

On the holidays I went on a big sand hill on a surfboard. We went down the hill. We got chicken nuggets and chips to eat. I went with mummy and daddy and Robyn.

Casey

On the holidays I went camping with mummy and daddy and my brother. I slept in a green tent and had a pink sleeping bag. I was playing ropes with my friend.
