PHE Yellow Phase Update

Mrs. Robbins- October 2021

LISD Move to Yellow Phase

Husky Families,

Keeping our families updated on the recent changes with COVID-19 is a top priority for us at Pleasant Hill. Our district and campus will be moving to the "Yellow Stage" for COVID -19 due to a reduction in positive cases in our area beginning on Wednesday, October 13.

We will need your help to keep our schools open and our students and staff healthy. With this goal in mind, Pleasant Hill will be following these practical recommendations put forth by Leander ISD:

What to Expect As We Move to "Yellow Stage":

  • Encourage all students, staff and campus visitors to wear masks,

  • no changes to our student drop off/pick up procedures,

  • practice frequent hand washing,

  • self monitoring for symptoms, and

  • staying home when sick.

We will be:

  • continuing to clean and disinfect,

  • students will be able to utilize the water fountains throughout the day,

  • requiring self-screening for symptoms before entering a facility or campus,

  • reporting positive cases on our COVID-19 dashboard,

  • notifying whole campuses and buildings about positive cases in their school or building,

  • allowing administrator approved volunteers to our building,

  • continuing to not allow visitors during lunch,

  • continuing to celebrate student birthdays with individually wrapped treats - no toys or party favors.

The health departments will continue to be recommending any necessary quarantines. We are excited for these new changes as we continue to focus on the needs of our PHE Community - staff, students and families!

Thank you so much for your support and patience as we navigate these challenging times!
