Important Updates From Our Home and School Association
HOMEROOM PARENT/CLASSROOM PHOTOGRAPHER UPDATE: Thank you so much to everyone who applied for these positions. Your willingness to volunteer is very much appreciated! Notifications for each classroom’s Homeroom Parents and Classroom Photographers will be distributed during the week of September 16th. If you have any questions, please contact bseshsa@gmail.com.
FALL FUNDRAISER UNDERWAY: Keep an eye out for the Charleston Wrap’s Kitchen and Home Catalogs and the Merry Gift Wrap Guides which started coming home at the end of last week! The sale will run until Friday, October 11th, and items delivered to the school can be picked up during the Scholastic Book Fair Family Night on Wednesday, November 13th. Orders can be placed using the order form included with the catalogs (checks payable to “BSES HSA” with PA Sales Tax added) or online (www.charlestonwrapstore.com, School ID: z-16745) with the potential for FREE SHIPPING. Your student can even win prizes for using the Easy-Email-Invite-Generator to invite out-of-town friends and family to shop and support our HSA! Check out this FLYER for all the details and contact Dawn Wyzen with questions.
HSA DONATION DRIVE: If you are interested in supporting the BSES HSA Donation Drive (click HERE for all the details), please send a check written out to BSES HSA back to school with your student in the provided envelope. Donations can also be made via MySchoolBucks. Please contact bseshsa@gmail.com with any questions.
REMINDERS ABOUT ONGOING FUNDRAISERS:
BIG CHANGES FOR BOX TOPS!! The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school! Going forward, instead of clipping from packages, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipts using the Box Tops mobile app, which is available from the Apple Store or Google Play. For more information, check out this LETTER or head to https://www.boxtops4education.com/. (FYI-Our school is listed on the Box Tops website as "Bethel Springs Elementary" in Marcus Hook.)
BUT not to worry about the Box Tops you have already clipped and collected over the summer - those are still good! You should have received a collection sheet this past week (turn the Box Top app letter over ;)), but if not, you can always print it from this LINK. This first collection will end on Friday, October 18th, so get to glueing/taping!
SHOPAROO: And while you’re scanning receipts for Box Tops, might as well get the most bang for your buck by also scanning them using the Shoparoo app! If you are not familiar with Shoparoo, which is available from the Apple Store or Google Play, families can use the app to scan and upload receipts from grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores. Bethel Springs earns points for each receipt uploaded (think Acme, Giant, Wegmans, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, BJs, Costco, etc), and participants can track who is leading with the most points in the school and in their grade for a friendly competitive bonus. Please visit www.shoparoo.com to learn more about this hassle-free fundraiser.

Urgent Reminder for Parents!
Please access the SNAP Parent Health Portal to complete the online EMERGENCY CARD.
We cannot stress enough how crucial this information may be during the course of the school year, so please be very thorough in completing this card. Please pay particular attention to the medication section and indicate which of the over-the-counter medications listed you are giving consent to be given to your child during the school day. The school nurse cannot administer any OTC medications (e.g. Tylenol. Tums, throat lozenges, etc.) without your consent.
Parents and legal guardians that have an email address in Alma should have received their secured login credentials to the SNAP Health Portal. The email came from noreply@studentehr.com. Please check your spam folder if you do not remember seeing this notice. Once you log into the SNAP system, please update your child's health information (as needed), including the medication consent section.
