  • Thursday: Read & log 10 minutes, Spelling Words-Write each word 3 times-test tomorrow
  • Weekend: Read 10 minutes each night

Poem of the Month-October

Students will learn a new poem each month. At the end of the month, they will recite the poem from memory. Reciting the poem and being part of a respectful audience will contribute to the speaking and listening grades on the report card.

Community Service Opportunities for Students

Food Drive-We are collecting non-perishable food items for S.E.R.V.E. This is a great way to help those in need and earn service hours. Donations are being accepted until October 15th. 4 items=1 hour (maximum 2 hours)

Box Top Blitz-Save your Coke reward codes, box tops, labels for education, and Ticonderoga packages! Our Box Top Blitz will be October 5th-9th. 50 items=1 hour (maximum 2 hours)


After school clubs have started. If your child is supposed to stay after school for a club, please write a reminder in the agenda.

Curriculum Corner

  • Our next unit in Math is Geometry. Key concepts include: Identifying, describing, comparing and contrasting plane and solid figures.

  • Our next unit in Social Studies is Geography. Key concepts include: Locating 7 continents, 5 oceans, selected rivers, mountain ranges, and lakes in the United States.


Parents we need your help! We have students coming to school without the correct uniform.

  • Jumpers can be navy or plaid only.
  • Skirts should be knee length.
  • Belts must be worn if belt loops are present.
