The Lion's Share

Message from the Principal:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This edition of the Settler's Point Newsletter is packed with information about some of our upcoming clubs, a couple of chances to represent us on district committees, and an opportunity to meet Travis Grantham (the state representative for our legislative district).

Within the last few weeks I have tried to do many of the duties around campus to give me a better perspective of what is going on. During this process, I have observed the need for improvement in our parent pick up. I am currently working with the School Council and the Leadership Team to come up with a new process that will be more efficient and safe. During the next couple weeks we will be sharing our plan. Thanks for your patience as we ensure that we are receiving input from all parties effected.

It is my job to serve the parents, students, and staff of Settler's Point. If there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to reach out to me.

Representative Travis Grantham will be on campus and meet the staff, get a student led tour of the campus, observe some of our teachers, teach a civics lesson to Ms. Wahl's class, and then will participate in a Q & A session with the community that you are welcome to attend. It will run from 11:30-12:00 in the Settler's Point library. Please bring questions related to education in Arizona.
