Who was Harriet Tubman
She was a woman who escaped slavery in the South. She was born in 1820 and she adopted her mother's first name Harriet. In about 1844 she married a man named Davis Tubman. In 1849 she heard rumors that her owner was going to sell her so she ran away leaving everybody she loved behind.

She was born in 1820 in Maryland. She died March 10, 1913.

John Brown
John Brown housed Harriet when she traveled North to be free from slavery. He became very close to Harriet. When he went South to raid the lands of people who had slaves he failed and was hanged.

John Brown
John Brown's wife and daughter both died during child birth. When Harriet traveled North he helped her. e housed her and gave her a place to live and gave her food. Harriet and John became very close and they would sit and plan to raid the South and free the slaves. After a little while John went down South and tried raided the people who owned slaves. He ended up failing and he was hanged.
