Hi! This is Claudia Bare and this is my news article on Science.

Some important news on Skin, Bones, and Muscles

Here are key Notes about MS Skin, Bones, and Muscles.

· The levels of organization in the human body are the cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems.

· The four tissue types in the body are the epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue.

· 12 organ systems are, Organ System Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Digestive, Endocrine, Integumentary, Muscular, nervous, reproductive, Respiratory, skeletal, urinary and immune.

· The layer of skin you can see is dead. The dead cells are filled with a tough, waterproof protein called keratin. As the dead cells are removed from the upper layer they get placed by the skin cells below them.

· Hair and nails contain the tough protein keratin. Nails act like protective plates over the fingertips and toes. Hair grows from inside the hair follicle. New cells grow in the bottom part of the hair, called the bulb.

Some Important news on the Cardiovascular System

Key Notes on the Cardiovascular System:

  • -Lymph vessels, Lymph nodes, Spleen, tonsils, adenoids Thymus, Blood vessels, blood and heart are main structures of the cardiovascular system.
  • -The three types of blood vessels in the body are arteries, veins, and capillaries.
  • -The tonsils, thymus and spleen are main structures of the lymphatic system.
  • -The lymphatic system works with the cardiovascular system to return body fluids to the blood.
  • -Structures of the heart are the, atrium and ventricle.
  • -Valves in the heart keep the blood flowing in one direction. Blood only moves forward through the heart, the valves stop the blood from flowing backward.
  • -Coronary circulation is the circulation of blood in the blood vessels of the heart muscle
  • -Blood flows through the heart in two separate loops. There is a left side loop and a right side loop, the right side loop collects oxygen-poor blood from the body and pumps it into the lungs, where it releases carbon dioxide and picks up oxygen. The left side loop carries the oxygen-rich blood back from the lungs into the left side of the heart, which then pumps the oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body.
  • Main parts of blood are made of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma.
  • -The defense of the body against diseases, the movement of chemical messages likes hormones and hormone-like substances, the control of body temperature and the repair of damage to body tissues.
  • -Hemoglobin is the protein that carries oxygen in red blood cells.
  • White blood cells defend the body against infection by bacteria, viruses, and other diseases.
  • - The importance of ABO blood system is that it can receive and give blood.
  • -Anemia, Leukemia and Lymphoma are blood disorders and diseases.
  • -The pressure of the circulating blood slowly decreases as blood moves from the arteries, and into the smaller blood vessels. The pressure causes the walls of the arteries to move in a rhythmic fashion.
