Principal Update
12/16/22
Dear LP Families,
I have two pieces of good news to share and one reminder for this week!
Good news #1- our students earned another 1,000 tickets for showing HEART in school and making positive behavioral choices. As a fun reward, we are going to do a Winter Wonderland spirit week next week. The flyer is below- we will end the week before break with a community circle we hope the kids will enjoy! Please join me in congratulating them for all their hard work!
Good news #2- In addition to intramurals and drama club, we have three more exciting clubs starting in the new year! Mrs. Antonelli will be starting our first ever Newspaper and Yearbook club. This group will be creating an actual yearbook that families will be able to purchase which has never happened at LP! Stay tuned for more information on how to get your hands on a copy of this book! Mrs. Ragusa will be running Sewing club- this will be a neat opportunity for students to learn the craft of sewing buttons, projects, and even learning how to use a sewing machine. Finally, Mrs. Costello will be running our Creativity club where students will enjoy making various projects and learning how to use a cricut. Students are welcome to indicate their interest for any of the above clubs but please know that we have a limited number of spots and we want to ensure we include as many students as we possibly can. The good news is that we will have other sessions if your child doesn't get their first pick. Let me know if you have any questions about that!
Reminder- communication is very important to us and we want to make sure we are addressing your concerns, questions, etc. Please allow up to 24 hours to receive a return phone call as we are doing our best to meet the needs of so many. Also, we are happy to meet with any family in person, but we kindly ask that you call the school beforehand to schedule a meeting. We want to avoid anyone coming to school unannounced and not being able to meet with us because of other scheduled meetings or events. Thank you for this consideration. The main office number is (585) 339-1370.
I hope you have a good weekend,
Dr. Bello
