A Message from Mrs. Fortunato
JUNE 19, 2021
James 1:2-3 ~ Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Dear Parents,
As I write this note, I am still in denial that the year has come to a close. We did it! I am so proud of our school, all we stand for, and the strong learners our students have become. Thank you, parents, for all your support and trust in ICS. We could not have done it without your trust, virtual participation, and your incredible support for decisions needing to be made that may have not made sense. We are grateful!
It is important that I recognize our faculty and staff. Teachers and staff are full of great energy as we continue to celebrate the ending of a fabulous year! Yes, this year took grit, patience, creativity, flexibility, and love as we stayed the course to safely offer in-person and virtual instruction from the fall till the end of the school year. However, truth be told, the school year may have come to a glorious end on Monday for students, but the staff continues to work, paying close attention to finishing up student records, packing classrooms for summer cleaning, and planning for 2021-22. ICS faculty has been hyper focused on continuous school improvement, as each teacher has immersed him/herself in committee work destined to make next year the best year yet.
I know you will join me in wishing a few faculty members the best of luck and many blessings as each leaves ICS to pursue a new adventure. On behalf of ICS, please join us in extending prayers to:
Mrs. Chrissy Kassebaum
Mrs. Jackie Martoccia
Mrs. Colleen Tropeano
Mr. Robin Stone
Father Michael Tabernero
New teacher assignments will be posted toward the end of July. Please pray for great change!
While on the topic of change.... plans for an ICS summer camp did not work out for this year.. I plan to work with SAC over the summer and in the fall to revisit the possibility of offering an ICS camp during the 2022 summer break.
As mentioned at the State of School meeting, the ICS COVID task force will be meeting in July to discuss how we will proceed with our reopening for the 2021-22 school year. I will send out a communication letting you know all the details regarding our reopening plan.
Summer office hours have begun. The main office is open Monday~ Friday from 8 am- 12 pm. till the end of July. All special requests needing attention beyond office hours will be honored. Please call the office at 908-735-6334 or email the office at: info@icsclinton.org or principal@icsclinton.org.
