Sign Up for May 3 Family Conferences Starting Wednesday April 25
Family Conferences will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. All families must register for Conference time slots on Family Access prior to 3:00 p.m. on May 3rd. No drop-ins will be accepted.
Families should park in the South lot near the football field and enter through the Gym Lobby doors on the South end of the building. Teachers will be located in their classrooms, so families should print their child’s schedule prior to coming to the event. Maps of the school will be available in the Gym Lobby and students will be walking around to assist you with directions. Please arrive about 5 minutes before your first scheduled conference to allow for travel time.
Registration for Family Conferences is open to all students on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, and spots will fill quickly, so reserve your spot as soon as you can. Time slots will be in 10 minute increments. We will be strict with the 10 minute conference times. We recommend that you schedule first with teachers in whose class your student is struggling the most. We also recommend that you not schedule conferences back to back to allow for travel from one room to the next. However, if you need to schedule back to back, please plan on leaving your conference a minute or two earlier in order to get to your next conference on time.
Students are encouraged to attend Conferences with their families.
We know you care about your student’s learning and want to stay involved with their progress. If you have a question for a teacher or cannot make it to the school the night of Family Conferences, you can email or call teachers at any time; they have flexible time set aside throughout the year to conduct these communications with you outside the school day.
To sign up for 10 minute conference time slots with your student’s teacher(s), please log into Family Access and follow the attached instructions.
We look forward to giving your student great feedback and to hearing ideas from you as to how your children advance in their learning.

The total amount of plastic bags collected amounted to a whopping 208 pounds of plastic wrap, plastic bags and plastic film during the challenge, which was an increase from last year where we collected 165 pounds of recyclable material. Our school is receiving a bird feeder from Trex for participating in the challenge.

This year Oconomowoc High School's Students 4 Service Club is planning a schoolwide advocacy and fundraising campaign to benefit the American Cancer Society. Throughout this campaign, Students 4 Service will be coordinating monthly fundraisers all leading up to our BIG event, Relay for Life, on May 11th, 2018.
Relay for Life is a team event that celebrates cancer survivors, and raises funds for the American Cancer Society research, education, prevention, advocacy and patient services. It is a fun, outdoor fundraising event where teams take turns walking or running around a track.
A few additional notes:
· Team Registration opens in March. If you would like to hear about our latest planning and fundraising opportunities, please follow our social media accounts: @OconRelay (twitter)
· Recognizing and Celebrating Survivors is one of the most meaningful aspects of Relay for Life. We invite all survivors to join us! If you, a family member or a friend has battled cancer, please encourage them to participate. Interested survivors, please contact Ms. Hoffman
Thanks!
-S4S Relay for Life Planning Committee
As part of the fundraising efforts for Relay for Life, starting on Monday, Students 4 Service will be selling Oconomowoc popsockets (see attached). All money raised is going to the American Cancer Society.
