Winter Testing
Testing is a big part of school. Results are used to chart student progress and highlight educational areas needing extra attention. Recently, your child has completed MAP Testing (Intermediate) or is just beginning AIMs Testing (Primary). These results are Nationally Normed so you can compare your child's progress to students throughout the nation. As our Army families move quite often, this educational data becomes significant for families.
Do discuss with your child the varied experiences of life that include testing. Games, sports, and musical performances are great ways to teach testing. Being able to focus and perform at your best ability is an important life skill and learning this begins now.
While practice makes perfect, a good day begins the night before with a full night’s sleep. Healthy routines set the foundation for good days and then strong performances on tests.
As we round out another grading period, do ask about your child’s scores on our testing. These points are one piece of information but can provide insight for your child’s next steps.
Thank you for being partners in your child’s education.
ALICE Education
We live in changing times and this includes our new ALICE procedures to maintain a safe school. During December your child will receive lessons about ALICE and for many it will be through readings like: "I'm Not Scared... I'm Prepared." The lessons enhance our lockdowns and provide new tools to ensure all are safe while at school.
