Mrs. Miller's Monthly Memo

February 2016

February Lessons

Lessons this month are focused on the question 'How do I tell someone "no" to keep my body safe?' We focus on personal space and what to do if personal space is invaded at school. The book Uncle Willy's Tickles is used to demonstrate how someone might enjoy tickling but the tickling might become uncomfortable if it goes on too long. The children practice saying "no, I don't like that" and "please stop" to peers. We also focus on getting help from adults if they have asked for something to stop and it continues.
